No more work restrictions!

I can now work and study unlimited hours!

 

Time now to find work within "journalism or related occupations". 

Just as I thought...

...blogging doesn't seem to be for me.

 About 17 months passed between my last two posts (counting this one).

When at Uni, blogging was a biiiig thing, but I couldn't understand why.

My favourite name for a blog was, is, and most likely always will be:

"I cannot believe you care what I think!"

But, true to form, once somebody came up with that, others thought it would be fun if they gave  t h e i r  blog the same name.

Much like YouTubers copying clips off others and posting them in their account. Hence, a search for something popular results in hundreds of copies of the same clips. Why? Why not create something of your own? And I don't mean just chopping it up, adding bad titling or talking over it.

 Anyway, to each his own. Not quite for me. You love it? Well, go for it!

I finally got a new job!

Well,

After sending through hundreds of applications to SEEK, CareerOne and the likes, as
usual what it boiled down to was having connections. Our landlord knew a guy from school
who works at Harvey Norman, so I rode down there and handed in my CV.

A few days later they called me, I went to see them and they hired me to work two days
a week, which is about as much as I'm allowed because of visa restrictions.

So come on; get yourself down to Harvey Norman in Preston and
have some prints made from your digital photographs.

I'll be working at the Commonwealth Games!

Yep, that's right!

I am one of those selected to work as a Technical Assistant for the commentary at the

Commonwealth Games in Melbourne in March 2006.

Not only will I get paid; it will be a valuable experience from the world of broadcasting
and in addition, I can use it as my Media Internship as part of my Bachelor of Media Studies
at La Trobe University!

My thoughts and condolences go out to all the victims of the cowardly terror bombings
and also to the people of London and those who have friends and relatives there.

I was impressed to see how the emergency services and the people themselves handled the situation.

Yep, that's right! We've actually been here for two years straight - to the day!

We landed in Melbourne very early in the morning of July 4, 2003 and haven't been back in Sweden since!
